DATE OF BIRTH: 19 June 1997
Originally from Paris, Colombe Julia discovered the sea and sailing in Saint-Cast-le-Guildo during her summer holidays. It was a revelation that would stay with her forever.
She then set sail for Brest to study naval and offshore architecture engineering, while fully committing herself to a high-level sporting career.
It was in Brest that she met Charlotte Yven, with whom she formed a women's 470 dinghy duo, competing in the Olympic circuit. Together, they won a bronze medal at the 2019 European Junior Championships.
With the 470 class becoming mixed in the run-up to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Colombe continued her 470 career alongside Hugo Le Clec'h, with whom she sailed until the 2022 World Championships.
These years in dinghy sailing taught her rigour, high standards, pressure management and a culture of performance, forging a solid experience of high-level competition.
After this Olympic journey, Colombe was selected for BE Racing via the Espoir programme, where she made her debut in Figaro Beneteau 3. She sailed for two seasons with the team, participating in the Transat Paprec 2023 and the Tour Voile 2023 and 2024.
Building on this experience, she has now decided to go it alone, with the ambition of building her own offshore racing project in Figaro, combining sporting performance, personal commitment and long-term vision.
