Originally from Île de Ré, Laure has been immersed in the marine world since she was very young. She was only eight months old when she embarked on her first family cruise. Very early on, the sea became her playground and a place of discovery. Her passion for sailing emerged around the age of 6, when she began sailing a double dinghy alongside her father.
Over the years, she honed her skills by competing in various regattas, notably in SB20 and then J70 classes. Alongside her sporting career, Laure chose to train as a naval engineer, developing solid technical expertise that would feed into her offshore racing. This dual skill set led to her being selected in 2022 as skipper for the DMG MORI Sailing Academy.
For four years, Laure competed under the colors of the Japanese team. She first proved herself in the Mini 6.50, a demanding adventure marked by her participation in the 2023 Mini Transat, before continuing her career on the Figaro circuit, where she completed two seasons.
Now at the helm of her own project, Laure is about to embark on her third year in Figaro. This is a demanding and particularly formative class, where the one-design format pushes every sailor to excel and in which she continues, day after day, to refine her learning and performance.
